What Is Liberatory Design?

Developed in 2016 in collaboration with the National Equity Project, Liberatory Design is a human-centered, equity-focused approach that blends traditional design thinking with social justice principles to challenge systems of oppression and create solutions that center the voices of those most impacted.

We leverage Liberatory Design to develop programs that are not only effective, but also equitable and inclusive. By co-creating strategies that reflect lived experiences, honor diverse perspectives, and drive meaningful change, we are able to build brands, campaigns, and initiatives that uplift marginalized voices and foster lasting social impact.
